Good Develops Brand Identity for Ian Macleod Distillers-Owned Tamdhu Single Malt Whisky

Glasgow-based design agency Good has created new brand identity for Ian MacLeod Distillers-owned Tamdhu single malt whisky.

The new packaging, which has been designed to increase shelf impact, communicates the values of the brand with a textured black, white and gold tube, illustrated monograms and a glass bottle inspired by the Victorian era.

The agency has drawn upon the brand's heritage to create the identity, which is communicated by the 'Can Dhu' campaign slogan.

Good co-director Keith Forbes said, "Born out of a time when Scotland led the world in many fields of endeavour, Tamdhu embraced technology and innovation. We wanted to capture that spirit that anything is possible when you put your mind to it."

Good was selected following its work on developing a refreshed positioning and packaging for Ian Macleod's other malt distillery, Glengoyne.
