Toyota Regains The Largest Auto Seller in The World

The report published by Japanese automaker TOYOTA showed that auto sales in 2012, hit a record high of 9,750,000 in the past 75 years. It increased by 22.6% over last year, which makes TOYOTA surpass his competitors General Motors and Volkswagen and become the largest auto seller in the world again.

TOYOTA expressed that their expected auto sale in 2013 is 9,910,000, increasing 1.6% over 2012.

The above mentioned sale includes Daihatsu and Tokyo Gasu Denki. Sale of TOYOTA’s private brands is 8,720,000, increasing 22.8% over 2011.

Besides, as a TOYATO’s domestic competitor, Nissan Motor published performance report, showing that Nissan’s auto sale in 2012 set a historical record high of 4,940,000, increasing 19% over 2011.

In 2011, TOYOTA’s business was affected by recalls in America, earthquake in Japan and supply chains disruption led by flood in Thailand. It ranked third worldwide industry sales at that time, falling behind General Motor and Volkswagen.
