China's first inter-provincial rail train from Shanghai to Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province completed the no-load trial operation.
It will only cost 40 minutes from Huaqiao, Kunshan to Shanghai West Railway Station after the formal operation.
Shanghai rail transport's north extension project is a new attempt of Shanghai and Jiangsu to break the restrictions of administrative divisions. With the development of rail transport, the north extension project will also link with Suzhu City in rail and eventually connect three cities such as Suzhou, Kunshan and Shanghai.
