Coincident with the Street and Area Lighting conference in Phoenix, AZ, the DOE will host the annual meeting of the Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting Consortium, with a portion of the meeting serving as a part of the conference program.
The DOE has announced that its Municipal Solid-State Street Lighting Consortium (MSSLC) will hold its annual meeting in Phoenix on September 11, 2013, scheduled coincident with the Street and Area Lighting Conference (SALC). The meeting will be open to consortium members, although the agency will also allow others to register including government and utility staff that work on street light projects, lighting designers and consultants, and finance and budget professionals such as from energy services companies.
Attendees will hear directly from US cities that have already undertaken LED street light projects. Presentations will include information on funding options, especially in today's climate with much of the funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act having been used.
The morning half of the MSSLC meeting will be open to all SALC delegates as part of the conference program or to attendees that register just for the MSSLC meeting. The afternoon session will only be open to participants that register specifically for the MSSLC meeting. Lighting manufacturers, distributors, and representatives will not be allowed to register for the MSSLC meeting.
