Indian Steel Producer JSW Steel's Crude Steel Production Increased by 11% Compared to Feb.

In February this year, Indian steel producer JSW Steel’s crude steel production increased by 11 percent compared to February 2012.
 
JSW produced 675,000 mt of crude steel in February of the current year, compared to 609,000 mt in February 2012. During February this year, JSW Steel produced 514,000 mt of flat rolled products, up 14 percent, while its long rolled product output amounted to 132,000 mt, decreasing by 14 percent, both compared to the same month of the previous year.
 
As SteelOrbis previously reported,  in the third quarter ended December 31 of the financial year 2012-13,  JSW's profit after tax decreased by 19 percent year on year to INR 1.37 billion ($25.30 million) mainly due to a lower capacity utilization of 78 percent in the quarter.
