Canadian label producer Access Labels has implemented the Xeikon 3030 digital color press.
The new press is being used to supplement Access Labels' flexo equipment, expand into new markets, and better service the demands of their customers.
Part of the Xeikon 3000 Series, Xeikon 3030 is the narrow web entry-level press, which will be used in the digital production of labels.
The press will also be used in producing promotional and transfer applications, in addition to prime label applications.
Access Labels will use the new press to produce high quality and low volume labels that will be supplied to the companies in the Atlantic region of Canada.
With its full rotary printing ability, the press provides high level of productivity. It also offers true 1200 x 3600 dpi imaging resolution with a media width of up to 13in, and will handle different types of substrates without pre-treatment or priming.
Access Labels business development head Robert Sams said: "From our location in Atlantic Canada, we provide a robust product line and the high level of our service customers have come to expect.
"To keep pace with the needs of this loyal customer base - and to help us grow into new markets - we needed to move into digital."
Established in 1993, Access Labels runs several flexo and digital presses in its facility at Nova Scotia.
