Worldwide semiconductor sales in December were $24.7bn - up 3.8% on December 2011, says WSTS. For the year, sales were $291.6bn - down 2.7% on 2011.
But European sales in December were $2.6bn - down 5.5% on December 2011.
On a total year basis the European market in 2012 was worth $33.2bn down 11.3% on the full year 2011.
Measured in Euros, the worldwide semiconductor market was worth €226.9bn in 2012, up 5.37% on 2011.
