Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), one of the major stainless steel producers in Taiwan released its prices for July.
It’s learned that Yusci decided to cut its domestic prices for 300 grade stainless steel products by NT$2,500/ton while it remained its domestic prices for 400 grades products unchanged for July.
Yusco pointed out that the Taiwanese stainless steel producers have been forced to reduce production due to low-priced import from Korea and China.
However, the low-priced imports have still impacted the Taiwanese stainless steel market even though local steel mills have cut output to fight against the imports.
Thus, Yusco decided to cut its prices for July.
