Tim Hortons Cafe&Bake Shop has announced that it will be offering Panini sandwiches on a multigrain or a maple flatbread.
The new Flatbread Breakfast Paninis are prepared and grilled fresh to order in up to 16 different varieties.They are filled with breakfast ingredients like egg or an egg-white omelet;bacon,hickory smoked ham or a lightly-seasoned sausage patty with melted cheese,the company said.
More than half of the available Flatbread Breakfast Panini varieties are 300 calories or less.The Flatbread Breakfast Paninis will be available in the morning and will retail for$2.99.They will be available across the US.
The company noted that it is expanding its US menu offerings including espresso-based beverages,breakfast sandwiches and wraps,Real-Fruit Smoothies and new assortments of baked goods.
Tim Hortons owns 721 restaurants in the US and 4,042 restaurants systemwide.
