It is learned that Italian steelmaker Beltrame's plant in Argentina is able to produce thick coil, which become the 2nd plant that able to produce thick coil in Latin America. The plant which costs US$250 million, 50% of it comes from Argentina's Central Bank, for the 1st stage of the upgrade, is able to produce 300,000 tons to 500,000 tons annually. The second stage will cost another US$250 million, which will take place from 2013 to 2015; and third stage will cost US$600 million, scheduled to start from 2014.
