Taiwan's Chung Hung Steel has announced to increase its January price for galvanized steel by NT$300/ton in the domestic market. However, the major coating steel mills, Yieh Phui Enterprise (YP) and Sysco have still decided to keep its January domestic price flat on both GI and pre-painted steel products.
Those two mills said the domestic market demand is lower than their expectation. They will try to absorb cost and not to raise prices for their customers.
It is expected that YP and Sysco will announce March export price soon.
