The deadline for entries for the 2013 Lighting Design Awards is just over a week away.All product and project entries need to be submitted by Friday 5th October to be in with a chance of winning a trophy at the standout event in the lighting calendar.
This year will mark the 11th edition of the awards ceremony,now the largest and most prestigious architectural lighting awards event in the world.
An LDA trophy continues to be the most coveted award in the industry because of the legendary rigour that the judges apply to the selection process.The awards are separated into two segments,one recognising achievement in lighting product innovation and the other recognising lighting design projects.Each of the shortlisted projects is visited,while products shortlisted in the innovation categories are submitted for scrutiny before a panel of experts.
Last year saw the introduction of the Daylight award,recognising those architectural projects which pay exceptional attention to daylight design.Along with the Low Carbon category,this highlights our increasing drive to reward innovative but environmentally responsible projects.
