Fountain Sauce have changed up their tomato sauce bottles to feature the footy team jersey’s of all 18 AFL teams.
Coinciding with the Australian Football League annual finals season that comes around in the month of September, shoppers will be able to buy a sauce bottle ‘wearing’ their team’s jersey.
The jerseys only feature on Fountain’s plastic bottles and has been done in partnership with the AFL.
“Watching the AFL at home with a pie and sauce is practically an Australian institution. We know how much this ritual is synonymous to the whole footy season and sauce can now take pride of place in the festivities,” said Duncan Knight, Marketing Manager at Cerebros.
Fountain Sauce was established in Australia in 1906 when a Sydney-based grocery wholesaler started making tomato sauce. The brand is now part of Cerebos who also owns Gravox, Toby’s Estate Coffee, SAXA, Foster Clark’s and Mocopan. Cerebos is owned by Japan’s Suntory Limited.
Fountain Sauce’s AFL bottles are now available for purchase at Woolworths supermarkets across Australia. The recommended retail price is $2.45 for a 500mL bottle.
