On Tuesday, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an inquiry regarding the dumping of cold-drawn carbon or alloy steel wire originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China, the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Spain and the subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods from the People's Republic of China. This final injury inquiry was initiated further to a notice received from the Canada Border Services Agency stating that preliminary determinations had been made respecting the dumping and subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods.
On August 20, 2013, the Tribunal will determine whether the dumping and subsidizing have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry.
