Mediware Information Systems, along with its partner Planned Systems International (PSI), has been chosen by the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide blood donor and transfusion software validation services.
As per the terms of this selection, Mediware will provide professional services to the DoD to assist with the validation of Mediware's blood management software products, HCLL and LifeTrak that are previously licensed for use by the DoD.
HCLL and LifeTrak will together support the blood supply chain for the US military, including donor management, blood collections, testing, distribution and transfusion.

The features of HCLL include robust patient safety protocols, multi-site and multi-facility inventory management capabilities, and the industry's only fully integrated remote release blood distribution system (BloodSafe).
