Audi is planning to introduce a driverless Audi RS 7 Sportback at the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) where the car is expected to take a lap on the Hockenheim race track.
It is a concept car which is expected to be as fast as a normal race car. Previous tests conducted showed that the car could take a leap in just over two minutes.
The company claims that the car can reach speed of up to 240 km/h; the car has a combined fuel consumption of 24.8 US mpg and CO2 emission of 355.7 g/mi.
According to Audi, the race car is a way to demonstrate the potential of piloted driving, which it expects to roll out to its other cars.
The car will take the leap at German Touring Car Championship on October 19.
