Gilster-Mary Lee is recalling Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix in the US as the product contains walnuts, which is not declared on the carton packaging.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts can experience serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The product being recalled is Food Club Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix packaged in cases of 12/14.25oz. The cartons have a Best By date of NOV 28 13 D02 (UPC# 36800-13486). The product was distributed to Abingdon, Virginia warehouse on 5 December 2012.
Gilster-Mary Lee became aware of the packaging error during an internal review. Investigation revealed that during this production run walnut brownie cartons were inadvertently exchanged with plain Chocolate Chunk Brownie cartons.
Consumers have been asked to return the product to the store or discard it. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
