Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) has introduced two new products for the Mexican marketplace.
The products include Paperline photocopy grade for the 70 GSM market and a new food packaging portfolio, Foopak.
APP said Paperline will be available exclusively through select distribution partners in the country and Foopak will be available via Perez Trading Company Consumer Packaging Group.
The move will allow APP to serve the Mexican marketplace for both photocopy paper and multi-purpose packaging solutions.
Paperline copy paper is claimed to provide customers a high-yield 70 GSM, 100% virgin pulp grade with all the properties of a 97 bright white and bulky sheet.
It can be used for high speed, full coverage, digital printing for high quality laser color photo-copying, ink-jet and reprographics.
The second product, Foopak includes a range of multi-layered white folding box board grades of both Sinar Vanda and Sinar Kraft board.
The FDA certified Foopak for food and beverage packaging which includes grocery, quick-serve, take-out and bakery.
The line features the new biodegradable OBA-free products which include cupstock and board grades, the hard-sized grease proof in various kit levels for oven, microwave and freezer, liners for bakery, dairy and confection.
Asia Pulp & Paper Latin America sales director Anthony Atamimi said: “Our approach in Mexico is to focus on niche sectors, adding product differentiation and creating new innovative market segments that complement the domestic product categories.
“Over the past year we have streamlined our distribution channels and are now pleased to be working with local partners to help grow and expand these new markets.”
