CROWN Beverage Packaging North America, a business unit of Crown has announced the launch of a new 10oz beverage can that offers an alternative to traditional drink packaging for specialty beverage brands.
According to CROWN, the can has been developed in part to meet the increasing popularity among consumers for beverages that are not normally packed in traditional 12oz cans.
The beverage can, produced in the sleeker 58mm diameter line provides increased flexibility for brands and the new size is an opportunity for other beverage brands to grow their market share.
CROWN Beverage Packaging North America marketing and strategic development vice president Neill Mitchell said the can enables brands to stand out on store shelves with a fresh look.
"Crown's expansion of its product line reflects our commitment to help our customers respond to consumer demands," Mitchell said.
The company claims that brands benefit from the 100% recyclability of metal packaging, which can be improved further when combined with Crown's SuperEnd beverage end technology that cuts down usage of metal by 10%.
