Groupon Indonesia, a subsidiary of US-based e-commerce website Groupon, has increased its focus on apparel by launching a special page that offers around 200 apparel and fashion items.
The company took the decision to launch a special page for fashion apparel after noticing that about 60 percent of the total Groupon users were women, who are crazy about apparel, according to the company.
The world’s largest daily deal website Groupon acquired Indonesian best-deal website Disdus in 2011 to capture a share in the country’s growing e-commerce space.
Roughly, one in every three Indonesians are connected to the Internet at present, and the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) pegs the country’s ecommerce market at Rp 94.5 trillion.
