According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's ferroalloy imports totaled 152,273 metric tonne in November 2012, increasing by 12.2% month on month and almost stable compared to November 2011.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2012, Japan's ferroalloy imports amounted to 1.56 million metric tonne, decreasing by 4.6% YoY.
In November, Japan's ferroalloy imports from South Africa increased to 44,036 metric tons, more than double compared to the previous month, while China exported 27,942 tonne of ferroalloy to Japan in November, down 2.3% month on month. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's ferroalloy exports to Japan in the month in question fell by 24.4% month on month to 24,665 tonne.
