US-based Prestige-Pak has installed Paper Converting Machine’s (PCMC) Fusion C flexographic press to better meet its customers’ needs.
Based in Fond du Lac of Wisconsin, Prestige-Pak supplies printed and laminated flexible packaging materials for the bakery, cheese, confectionary, dry goods, medical, pet food and snack food industries.
The new Fusion C flexographic press is provided with fast make-ready and waste-saving features, and its smaller footprint and fewer parts helps to save space and cost.
Fusion C press includes motorized web thread-up, CI drum cleaner, web slitting, pit-less press access lift system, solvent saver and defect detection system.
Designed to meet the needs of the competitive printing industry, the Fusion flexographic printing press platforms help to reduce the energy requirements by using low power consumption components, designs, and operations.
Prestige-Pak president Vince Kuber said: “With the installation of this new press and its technology, we will be able to better meet our customers’ requirements in the future.”
“Working with PCMC has always been a great partnership. PCMC takes the time to learn the industry from customers, and because of that, we get great products and service from them.”
PCMC sales engineer Jason Beauleau said: “We’re honored to be part of a fellow local company growing its business and celebrating a significant operational milestone.”
PCMC, a subsidiary of Barry-Wehmiller, provides a range of flexographic printing presses for the customers in the flexible packaging, prime label and carton converting industries.
The company also produces ELS-MAX inline and wide web CI presses and Meridian laser anilox cleaner for improved print quality, in addition to Fusion C press.
In September this year, PCMC purchased Graphbury Machines to expand its business services in flexographic printers.
Graphbury offers engineering services for the flexible packaging industry and has developed a range of products that can enhance flexographic printers’ production and performance.
