Also meets ASTM E-119/UL 263/NFPA 251 with hose stream up to 2 hours and CDCR (California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation) Class A requirements for forced entry.
SAFTI FIRST, leading USA-manufacturer of advanced fire rated glass and framing systems, is pleased to announce that SuperSecure II-XLS now meets ASTM F1915 Grade 1-3 in addition to CDCR (California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation) Class A requirements for forced entry. SuperSecure II-XLS is the first clear, fire resistive security glazing that combines forced-entry security with temperature-rise fire protection meeting ASTM E-119/UL 263/NFPA 251 with hose stream up to 2 hours. Using SuperLite II-XL as the basis of design, SuperSecure II-XLS is available in dramatically large sizes compared to the antiquated wired glass versions that correction facilities settled for in the past.
According to Jeff Griffiths, Director of Business Development, “Meeting both the CDCR and ASTM security glazing test standards positions SuperSecure II-XLS as the industry performance leader for fire rated detention and high-security applications. This fills out our array of fire rated impact products providing protection against forced entry, ballistics, blasts, and hurricane forces.”
SuperSecure II-XLS does not incorporate wired glass, giving it a clear, wire-free appearance. Using SuperSecure II-XLS as the basis of design provides maximum security protection; protection against fire, smoke and dangerous radiant heat; impressively high STC ratings; and a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty. As an added benefit, SuperSecure II-XLS is proudly made in the USA.
