Fly away incandescents, fly away – the Birdie's Nest by Ingo Maurer, designed in 2005 just wouldn't look the same with the newer bulbs.Yet this iconic design gives lighting designs a means to fly, literally. Featuring twelve incandescent bulbs (with halogen innards) that flutter about by means of curling metal wire frames with their perfectly placed white goose feather wings.
