John Lewis Reveals New Line of Life-Sized Exotic Animal Toys

Snow leopards, walruses and a close to life-sized gorilla will be heading up John Lewis’ new range of exotic plush animals this year.

The retailer has revealed that sales of its cuddly toys have increased by 53 per cent in the year to date, reports the Telegraph.

As a result, the firm is now expanding its range of cuddly animals to include 62 exotic creatures from around the world, including platypuses and pandas.

Ranging from £17.50 for a plush meerkat to £1,799 for a six foot stuffed camel, the collection has been manufactured by Hansa Toy.

“The cuddly toy has always had a pride of place with children under the Christmas tree, evoking nostalgia with adults, and we are expecting our furry friends big and small to be bestsellers this Christmas,” said Ian Ellis, a toys and books buyer at John Lewis.
