Crystalline silicon solar cell maker TSEC will exhibit V-Cell, a P-type PERC (passivated emitter rear cell) monocrystalline model with an energy conversion rate of 21%, at the International PV Power Generation Expo 2015 in Tokyo, Japan, during February 25-27, according to the company.
TSEC will also showcase a PV module made of 72 V-Cells with power-generating capacity of over 360W at the show, the company said. TSEC has received potential orders for the modules on a long-term basis from Japan, according to industry sources. In response, TSEC did not confirm the reports but indicated that there has been a good market response to the module.
TSEC plans to undertake R&D of N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cells with a target energy conversion rate of 24% in 2015.
In order to promote sales of PV modules, TSEC has set up a subsidiary in Tokyo and will open another in Los Angeles in March 2015.
