National Windscreens Was Re-Branded as Automotive Glass Europe to Reflect Service Reach

As a founding member of The Automotive Glass Professionals, National Windscreens is delighted to announce that the organisation has been re-branded as Automotive Glass Europe to reflect its growing membership and the reach of its service throughout Europe.  

Automotive Glass Europe is a close alliance between carefully selected partners who are all leading providers of windscreen and automotive glass replacements and repair services in their respective countries. The new trade name and branding suggests a strong connection between each member, together with its ability to support customers, fleet and insurance providers across the continent.

National Windscreens Commercial Director Pete Marsden comments, “Our membership of Automotive Glass Europe is an added value service which offers our customers peace of mind by knowing that they can access high quality automotive glazing replacements and repairs when driving in Europe, with just one call to our UK call centre.” The European alliance was first established in 2009 and now includes over on 1,100 workshops and 1,550 mobile units operating in 15 countries, offering all members’ customers the same high quality levels of service they would expect in their own countries.

Pim de Ridder, Director of Automotive Glass Europe, confirms “The new trade name highlights the cross-border dimensions of our Partners. This is more important than ever, as major insurance and fleet customers are looking for an international approach. It is also beneficial for private motorists looking for automotive glass services when abroad – the name Automotive Glass Europe will help these motorists find us with ease.”

Automotive Glass Europe welkomed latest member Greek company AutoGlassFit, earlier this month. AutoGlassFit operates the largest branch network in Greece with 61 depots located across the country.

Pim continues, “We have known our Greek colleagues for quite some time now. We have great respect for their initiatives to co-operate at a national level including the creation of a national network. We are pleased that our members’ customers can now access services in Greece and as the large AutoGlassFit network includes two brand-new warehouses it will not be too difficult to overcome logistical obstacles”.

National Windscreens’ customers can access services provided by Automotive Glass Europe partners in 14 European countries, including France, Italy and Switzerland. The latter are particular favourites in the winter ski season; membership of the Automotive Glass Europe network provides reassurance to British holiday makers of a high quality repair and replacement service if windscreens are damaged in snowy conditions.
