Heapsylon, the creator of the Sensoria Fitness bio-tracking line of smart clothing, announced that it has signed a non-exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with leading British shoe manufacturer Vivobarefoot for its Sensoria Fitness line of wearable technology socks.
“This agreement enables Vivobarefoot to become the first distributor of the Sensoria Fitness bio-tracking socks. We will be selling them worldwide alongside Vivobarefoot shoes,” said Vivobarefoot’s Managing Director Galahad Clark. “Partnering with Heapsylon will enable us to bring this new exciting technology to market and help progress natural healthy movement around the world.”
As part of the agreement, globally renowned biomechanics expert Lee Saxby will be contributing to the Sensoria Fitness mobile app experience. “It is a big development for Sensoria to be associated with Vivobarefoot and their coach and biomechanics expert Lee Saxby.” Heapsylon CEO Davide Vigano said.
“He has been described as ‘The World’s Best Barefoot Running Coach’ by Christopher McDougall, author of the international bestseller, Born to Run, and by Harvard Professor, Daniel Lieberman as ‘Exceptional’. Thanks to his wisdom, Sensoria is going to help people stand, walk and run better.”
The formal distribution and development partnership announcement is set for the annual Consumer Electronics Show taking place from January 7th through the 10th in Las Vegas.
The company also plans to highlight the first “ready for production” sock prototype at ISPO 2014, the leading international sports business trade show taking place in Munich, Germany at the end of January with availability and deliveries to consumers planned for April 2014.
“We are thrilled to learn that Sensoria Fitness was selected by sports and fitness enthusiasts as one of the New Hottest Brands for 2014 at ISPO.” Vigano said. “We are aggressively moving forward with our production and branding strategy and look forward to showcasing our Sensoria Fitness line of wearable technology products at upcoming tradeshows and events.”
The Sensoria Fitness line of bio-tracking clothing includes a sports bra, sock and t-shirt that allows athletes and fitness participants to track indicators such as heart rate, biometric data and distance ran. All the data is sent to a single smartphone app where the wearer can get actionable information via audio cues in real-time.
