The National Council of Resistance of Iran reports that the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq (pictured), has submitted his resignation on Monday.
Iraqi member of parliament Mr. Raad al-Dahlaki, reportedly told Iraqi news outlets on Monday:
“The leaders of Al-Iraqiya held a meeting on Monday in the house of Mr. Ayad Allawi where they discussed the latest events particularly incident in Falluja. At the meeting Rafe Al-Issawi [Rafie al-Issawi], the minister of finance and Ussama Al-Nojeifi [Osama al-Nujaifi, Usama al-Nujaifi], the speaker of parliament were present.
“At the meeting Saleh Al-Mutlaq presented his resignation to al-Iraqiya leaders to protest the recent developments in Iraq and because the demands of protestors are not being met.“
