US property and casualty insurance broker, Keystone Insurers Group is planning to start adding partner agencies in Illinois to its franchise operations during the fourth quarter of 2013.
According to initial plans, a total of ten Illinois' independent agencies will be added by the company, which will retain their names and function as independently owned agencies, but under the Keystone umbrella.
Simultaneously, the Prairie State will become the ninth state represented in the Keystone group of independent agencies.
Keystone Sales and Marketing vice president Elizabeth Schenk said the first pioneer partners holds significance as the company enters a new state.
''The first partners always set the bar high, representing and attracting the best of the best,'' Schenk added.
Founded in 1983, the Keystone Insurers Group is owned by its franchise partners and employees in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, with property/casualty premiums in excess of $1.7bn.
