Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Daye Special Steel Co. has announced that in the first nine months this year its net profit totaled RMB 167 million ($27.3 million), down 19.1 percent year on year. In the July-September quarter of the current year, its net profit amounted to RMB 56.3929 million ($9.2 million), surging by 212.45 percent on year-on-year basis.
Furthermore, in the January-September period this year Daye Special Steel's operating revenue decreased by 14.3 percent to RMB 5.493 billion ($898 million), while the figure for the third quarter witnessed a 10.41 percent increase to RMB 1.736 billion ($284 million), both year-on-year.
