According to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), from January to November last year, the number of new car registrations in Europe was 11.25 million, fell by 7.6%. Germany was relatively better with a decrease of 1.7%. Brazell, director of the Bergisch - Gladbach School of Economics Automotive Management (CAM) expected that 2013 will be the sixth consecutive year of decline in passenger car sales in Europe, with drop of 3% and total sales volume of 11.4 million .
By 2014, the European car industry’s declining trend may turn to be better, but the situation of excess automobile plant capacity will remain until at least 2015. The car price competition will continue in Europe in a few years.
