Guardian Plus is a business support programme designed for businesses buying or using Guardian products either supplied by Guardian or through Guardian customers. As a member of Guardian Plus, Guardian offer optimum business support, helping you, your business and your employees to work more effectively and efficiently. One of the benefits offered by Guardian Plus is free training on glass, glazing and related topics. Guardian offer three levels of training: Introductory, Intermediate, & Advanced. These training courses are designed to help you and your staff to handle different aspects of their work more effectively, by developing their skills and knowledge in all of the key areas of the glass business.
The introductory level of training takes into account the technical aspects of glass, glass processing, glass coatings and fabrication. Although Guardian call these modules Introductory, they lay the vital foundations for any good grasp of technical knowledge in the glass and glazing industry. Guardian’s intermediate modules take this knowledge to the next level by looking at performance values, mechanical and thermal calculations, acoustics and all of the technical aspects associated to fabricated and processed glass, having a solid knowledge and understanding in these area’s assures your customers that your staff are professionals in their field. Guardian’s advanced modules teach your staff different ways of handling on site complaints, how to identify quality issues, glass failure and the specification of glass and glazing products.
In January Guardian are running Level 1 and Level 2 modules for Guardian Plus members, these modules have been exceptionally well received and were fully booked within a day of the invitation going out. However, Guardian have confirmed they will be organising further training modules in the coming months, so keep an eye on the Guardian Plus members notice board for the next sessions available to Guardian Plus members.
