Raute Posted Very Low Order Intake of Just €7m in The Third Quarter

The Finnish machinery and plant manufacturer Raute posted very low order intake of just €7m in the third quarter after a very weak first quarter and a minor recovery between April and June. The Technology Services division again generated the majority of the orders in the first quarter with a total of €5m. The volume of orders for new machinery and plants thus stood at just €2m. All in all, the company booked orders valued at €41m between January and September 2013, less than half of the amount recorded in the same period last year. Raute issued a profit warning at the start of September amid this slow trend in ordering.
