US-based Upslope Brewing has launched its new Imperial India Pale Ale (IPA) in Royal Pint (568ml or 19.2oz) aluminum can supplied by packaging company Ball.
Ball metal beverage packaging division, Americas senior vice president for sales Robert Miles said the new can offers a better way for its North American customers to differentiate their brands.
"Innovative craft brewers like Upslope also recognize the can's ability to block out light and oxygen, ensuring their beer is better tasting and fresher when their consumers experience it," Miles said.
The Royal Pint can features black and purple graphics and is about the height of a 24oz can. It has the diameter of a 16oz can.
Ball supplies packaging for beverage, food and household products customers, and of aerospace and other technologies and services, primarily for the US government.
