Boca Bearing, a US-based manufacturer of ceramic bearing and lubrication technology, has introduced a new line of bearings that can be utilized in various stages of packaging process.
The new ceramic and ceramic hybrid bearings can be used in different packaging equipment such as conveyor belts, and robotics used to palletize products.
Ceramic material has less porous surface that helps the bearings use less energy. This in turn helps in reducing production cost. Moreover, the ceramic bearings do not corrode or rust and can be used in extreme temperatures.
According to the company, the ceramic bearings can be used in machines that come in contact with chemicals, food grade applications, equipment utilizing thermoforming and many others.
