US automaker Chrysler has recalled about 1,785 vehicles in the US over a problem in the fuel tank assembly.
The recall is expected to start in March 2013 and effects the 2013 model year Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avengers that were manufactured from 30 October to 02 November 2012.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said: "These vehicles may have a gas tank that has a broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly."
Recall is made to fix the broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly that may lead to an engine stall or fuel leakage resulting in crash while driving or a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
According to the company the problem came to notice when the tank supplier discovered that it had shipped damaged goods during a routine maintenance operation.
The company claims that no accidents or injuries related to the recall have been reported.
