P-Xylene Prices Went Down in Asia & Us in Previous Week

P-Xylene prices went down in Korea due to weak support from the downstream buyers. Prices opened at US$ 1615/ton FOB Korea lower by US$ 10/ton, as compared to the same period of the previous week. During the week, P-Xylene prices were spotted in the range of US$ 1590-1615/ton FOB Korea.   In S.E. Asia, P-Xylene prices showed downward trend due to sluggish downstream support. Prices witnessed 1% decline in the market.   Nominations for December contract prices of P-Xylene in Asia were in the range of US$ 1590-1620/ton CFR Asia.   P-Xylene prices went up slightly in Europe, due to improved market sentiments in the region. Prices were assessed higher by 0.3% w-o-w. Initial European contract prices of P-Xylene were settled at € 1205/ton (US$ 1545/ton) FD NWE. This represents a decline of € 5/ton as compared to the last month.   P-Xylene prices declined in US by 1.2% w-o-w.
