ARM and TSMC say they have produced the first Cortex-A57 processor on finfet process technology.
The Cortex-A57 processor is ARM's highest performance processor and is leading the Cambridge-based firm's attack on the high end server processor market.
This is a significant development in the collaboration between ARM and TSMC to jointly optimize the 64-bit ARMv8 processor series on finfet process technologies.
