In a first-ever effort to foster greater collaboration between the E.U. and U.S. apparel and footwear industries, the International Apparel Federation (IAF) and the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) will host a two part webinar series that explores market access opportunities across the United States and the European Union.
This series will delve into trade policies, compliance standards, and regulations, including U.S. state regulations and the implications of REACh. Brands, retailers, wholesalers, factories, testing labs, law firms, and investment companies looking to leverage the U.S. and European consumer markets should join these free webinars.
On December 16, AAFA will lead a webinar focused on exporting to the U.S. market, including key trade policies like the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) as well as the growing and diverse compliance standards at both the national and state levels.
On December 19, the IAF will lead a discussion that addresses the norms of the European market, including trade norms and EU trade policy, product safety and flammability standards, and more. The webinar will also feature many of the requirements related to childrenswear, fire safety, chemical safety (REACh), and labeling.
