Automaker Ford has reported a 56% rise in sales in China to 67,505 vehicles in November 2012, compared to the same period in 2011.
Ford sells passenger cars in the country which include the imported Ford Edge, increased 74% to 51,602 units in November 2012.
The automaker's passenger car joint venture in China, Changan Ford Automobile's sales rose 71% to 50,423 units in November 2012.
From January to November 2012, the automaker's Chinese sales rose 18%.
Ford Motor China chairman and CEO John Lawler said, "Our plan to introduce 15 new vehicles by 2015 is on track, and with the launch of the Ford Kuga and EcoSport SUVs, we're going to make more inroads into China's fastest-growing segment as we work to double our production and retail capacity by 2015."
Recently, the Chinese government has approved the split of joint venture (JV) of Ford, Mazda and their Chinese partner Changan as part of Changan Ford Mazda Automobile's (CFMA) restructuring plan.
