EFI Acquires CRC Information Systems

Global technology company Electronics For Imaging (EFI) has acquired CRC Information Systems for an undisclosed price from Reynolds and Reynolds.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona and founded in 1978, CRC provides business management information systems (MIS) for commercial printers and packaging label and forms printers across the US and Canada.

The company was acquired by Reynolds and Reynolds in 2008. Its corporate headquarters is in Dayton, Ohio and has about 6,000 associates across the world.

The acquisition is expected to further expand EFI's market share for management information systems in North America.

EFI Productivity Software SMB Segment general manager Jeff White said: “We are excited to welcome CRC customers and employees into the EFI family.

“We intend to continue to meet the needs of CRC’s existing client base with the same enthusiasm they have come to expect over their years in business, while offering those customers access to the full EFI portfolio.”

CRC Information Systems product and services manager Erv Ratazak said: "We are very excited to join the EFI family and are confident in the additional value they can bring to our customers.”

Based in the Silicon Valley, EFI develops technologies for the manufacturing of signage, packaging, ceramic tiles, textiles, and personalized documents, with a broad assortment of inks, printers, digital front ends, and a business and production workflow suite that transforms and optimizes the complete production process.

Last month, the company delivered its digital printing solutions to French digital printing company CIDI and US-based Imagine! Express.
