Essex Safety Glass (ESG Ltd) certainly put a new spin on the term ‘responsive architecture’ at EcoBuild this year, with visitors flocking to the stand to see and feel for themselves the digitally sensitive glass products on display. Unveiling ESG Solarchromic™ Climate Control Glass and ESG Thermic™ Heatable Glass for the first time was a smart move for the leading technical glass manufacturer, as visitors were left inspired by ESG’s Eco Intelligent Home.
In fact, ESG is already seeing a surge in enquiries from those looking for highly practical, responsive, stylish, and most importantly, environmentally friendly glass solutions.

Available in sizing up to 1,800mm x 3,500mm, ESG Switchable™ LCD Privacy Glass proved to be particularly appealing to specifiers looking to use the glass as a practical and elegant design feature.
This was the first time a company had showcased intelligent glass products in actual applications which included an advanced privacy glass sliding and folding door system, a low voltage shower enclosure with conductive fittings and a front projection switchable window.
Similarly, the ESG Solarchromic™ Climate Control Glass attracted significant attention, with its ability to minimise solar heat gain during summer months yet maximise it during the winter.
