Bosch to Display Its New Range of Manesty TPR Tablet Presses

Bosch Packaging Technology will display its new range of Manesty TPR tablet presses with integrated die option at Achema 2015 from June 15 to 19 in Frankfurt, Germany.

After launching TPR 500 at Interpack held in Germany last year, Bosch has come up with TPR 200 for small to medium batches and the TPR 700 for high production volumes.

All the three machines, which claim to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), have a modular powder feeding system and a convenient human machine interface (HMI).

Bosch Packaging Technology product manager John Murphy said: "The successful launch of the TPR 500 confirms that the new range offers exactly what pharmaceutical manufacturers require."

"Based on their feedback, we have now developed two further models to meet the industry's demands for high yields as well as flexible and efficient production."

The TPR 500 is capable of producing more than 400,000 tablets per hour by means of standard tooling on a small footprint. This has been claimed to be effective for MUPS (multiple unit pellet system) products without any additional equipment.

The TPR 200 is built for small to medium batches with production rate of up to 230,000 tablets an hour, while the TPR 700 can churn out one million tablets an hour. While the former is easy to clean, the latter can fit the requirement for compressible products including non-pharmaceutical materials such as vitamins.

"Depending on the machine model and type of tablets, output capacities are improved by up to 40 percent," added Murphy.
