XL Group has announced new additions to its primary casualty, excess casualty, marine, construction and regional management teams in Atlanta, expanding and boosting its insurance underwriting operations.
XL Group North America regional management and distribution head Uwe Schoberth said Kim Reed, who most recently headed the company's excess casualty business' healthcare team in Bermuda, will now assume the role of client distribution leader in the region.
Reed, in her new role, will work closely with Atlanta-based brokers, connecting them with all of XL's businesses to help them meet the needs of clients' multi-line insurance.
Having both excess casualty and lead umbrella experience, Catherine Jakubowicz has been appointed as vice president and executive excess casualty underwriter to XL.
Russell Edwards has been selected to lead XL group risk management operations for the southeast region, while Gary Wallace has been named as executive marine underwriter for XL's Atlanta office.
The company has also appointed Mary Primm as XL executive marine underwriter as well as Kristen Francis as assistant vice president and senior underwriter specializing in property for XL Group's North America Construction team.
Stephen Hoofnagle has been named as vice president and risk consultant for XL's North America Property team.
