Cepac Completes Redevelopment Work at Doncaster Facility

UK-based corrugated packaging company Cepac has completed redevelopment of its Doncaster facility to increase both capacity and capability of its decorative packaging and display operation.

The redevelopment project was carried out with an investment of £1m which the corrugated packaging producer says has greatly increased the footprint of the facility.

It has also expanded the company’s Point of Sale & Display division while also extending the fulfilment capabilities of Cepac. The Doncaster facility provides innovative design and graphics services for Cepac customers.

According to Cepac Doncaster general manager Mark Hextall, the investment in the redevelopment project has helped the company in providing real choice and opportunities for expansion to its customer partners.

Hextall added: “We have always championed the use of cutting edge technology and we now have the space and solutions to help our customers work even more closely with our design team to maximise product potential.

“Our state-of-the-art investment in digital technologies offers customers greater agility in the supply chain, particularly in the fast-moving retail sector.

“The demand for flexibility is increasing all the time and our investment combines ultimate choice and speed to market, providing great opportunities to grow with our customers in Point of Sale & Display and Packaging markets.”

Apart from the Doncaster facility, Cepac also has other production sites in Yorkshire in Rawcliffe, Darlington and Rotherham.

In July, the company announced a £2m expansion project at the Rawcliffe Bridge site in East Yorkshire which will see the construction of a new production and warehousing facility.

The approximately 45,000ft2 facility is expected to facilitate improved workflow and give more storage space for the company’s operations. It would also offer vastly expanded capability and also the launchpad for continued expansion, stated Cepac.

The Rawcliffe site provides customized corrugated supply chain solutions for Cepac customers.
