The facelifted Peugeot 5008 has been revealed, introducing fresh exterior styling and a subtly revised cabin to the French brand’s seven-seater.
The updated 5008 embraces Peugeot’s new family face, incorporating stylised headlights and foglight surrounds, and a larger grille and lower air intake.
New alloy wheel designs and revisions to the roof rails and rear badges round out the exterior changes.
Inside, the centre console is surrounded by new gloss grey plastic, while extra chrome highlights are applied to the steering wheel and dashboard.
A new rear-seat entertainment package will be offered as an option, integrating two seven-inch screens in the back of the front-seat headrests, compatible with Bluetooth wireless headphones.
Launched overseas in 2009, the Peugeot 5008 was belatedly introduced to the French manufacturer’s Australian line-up in May.
The updated model will arrive in local showrooms in 2014, and is expected to carry over its existing powertrain range, comprising the turbocharged 115kW/240Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol and the 120kW/340Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel.
A range of four petrol and four diesel engines will be offered in Europe.
The facelifted Peugeot 5008 will debut at the Frankfurt motor show on September 10 alongside the updated 3008 crossover and the 308 R and 208 Hybrid FE concepts.
