Aviva, a UK multinational insurance company, has introduced its new online portal known as Marketplace, in a bid to enbale brokers to access over 40 products catering risks in niche and specialist markets.
Aviva interim intermediary and partnerships director Phil Bayles said several brokers felt placing more difficult risks to be time-consuming, while wanting to remain confident that they were recommending quality products to their clients.
"We have taken this feedback into account and created a portal that offers niche and specialist insurance from Aviva with access to reputable wholesalers and placement facilities," Bayles added.
The new website will cater brokers, from both Aviva and wholesale broker partners, a variety of online product information and access to quote and buy facilities covering specialist and niche products.
Apart from the above facilities, the new site will also offer access to London market broking to offer anything outside of Aviva's underwriting scale.
The company offers insurance, savings and investment products and serves 14 million customers in the UK as well as to 34 million customers worldwide.
