AkzoNobel has announced a price increase on all coil coatings products for North America, effective September 1, 2013. Over the past two years, AkzoNobel has worked to off-set the impact of raw material increases through improvements in operational efficiencies, optimization of manufacturing locations, and supplier negotiations.
However, ongoing raw material, freight and other business cost increases continue to outpace efforts to control costs. Therefore, effective with shipments beginning on September 1, 2013, AkzoNobel will be implementing a 4% price increase on all coil coatings products.
