CBSA Has Determined That AD Order on Pipe From China Should Remain in Place

On Thursday, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it has completed its phase of the expiry (or sunset) review of the antidumping order on certain carbon steel welded pipe from China.

The CBSA determined that termination of the antidumping order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping.? Accordingly, the CBSA has determined that this order should remain in place.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) must make its injury determination in this review by August 19, 2013. If the CITT likewise makes an affirmative determination, then this antidumping order will continue. However, if the CITT makes a negative determination, then the order will be revoked.
